At Lift Percy Shurmer, Class Dojo is our main form of communication with parents and carers. We also use Arbor to send out reminders and updates about upcoming events.
There is a weekly newsletter from the Principal, shared every Friday via Class Dojo, which keeps families informed about key updates, celebrations, and events across the school.
We hold parent meetings every term, as we believe these provide the best opportunity to discuss each child’s progress directly with their class teacher. If there are any additional matters you wish to discuss, we are always happy to arrange a meeting at a convenient time. Please speak to the school office, and they will liaise with the class teacher to book a time that works best for you both.

Letters Home
We regularly send home letters regarding uniforms, trips, news, and events. Please make sure you read the letters carefully and return any permission slips promptly.

Parent Consultation Meetings
We hold parent meetings every term. We believe that this provides you with the best opportunity to discuss individual's progress with class teachers. We are also happy to arrange meetings with individual parents at a convenient time if you there are any matters you wish to discuss. Please speak to the office and they will liase with the class teachers to a book a time that is convenient for the both of you.
Monthly Open Book Meetings
We hold monthly open book meetings. We know how proud the children are of their work at Percy Shurmer, and want to share it with their families. On the last Thursday of every month the classes open their doors and share all the wonderful work.
Twitter is used to share updates of the opportunities in the school as well as advice and information designed to support parents and children outside of the school.
Newsletters
There is a weekly newsletter from the Principal containing a variety of news and year group curriculum updates. It is shared on Class Dojo every Friday.
Assemblies and Productions
We hold regular Percy Passport celebration assemblies. Parents and carers are always welcome to attend and share in the celebration of our children's achievements. All classes participate in a range of productions throughout the year.
Annual Pupil Reports
All parents and carers will receive a detailed report of their child's progress in the second half of the summer term.
